Local Small Business to provide Transportation Services at Fort Rucker, AL

Madison, AL - Advanced Federal Services Corporation has been awarded a contract by Shaw Infrastructure, Inc. valued at $7 million to provide Installation Transportation Services to Fort Rucker, AL. The Cost Plus Award Fee contract has a brief base period beginning in September 2008 followed by four 1-year options.

Fort Rucker is the home of the U.S. Army Aviation Warfighting Center, where helicopter aviation training, education and professional development are provided to more than 12,000 military, civilian and international students annually. The installation encompasses over 63,000 acres, including 5 airfields and 20 stagefields.
Advanced Federal, which is based in Madison, Alabama, provides support services across the nation to the Army, Navy, Air Force, Centers for Disease Control, Department of Energy, and Department of Homeland Security/FEMA. With the award of the Fort Rucker contract, the company's workforce will increase to over 350 employees.
